Jhana Guided Meditation ( Stage 1-2)

A guided meditation which corresponds to the first 2 stages of Ajahn Brahm’s meditation technique:
1. Letting go of past and future, placing attention on the body.
2. Letting go of inner chatter, placing attention on sounds
3. Letting go of diversity, placing attention on the breath only.

    One thing I could never do was meditate while on lsd or amanita muscaria. you are so awake to experience that meditation would be trifling. what are you trying to stop? what are you trying to do? the cushion is empty. the “i” is nowhere.

    A lot of people …
    A lot of people come across this problem in meditation. It’s either because you try to put a stop to your mind too sudden or your body just need to release stress and tiredness accumulated from work and life. Try ease your mind into stillness slowly, like first placing attention on the body, and then sounds happening in the present, before actually putting awareness on the breath. If that doesn’t work then maybe just sleep and give your body the rest it needed,after a while it would go away.
