What is the best type of meditation?
This is a common question, as people are always asking what type of meditation is the best to try. Is there a type of meditation to help me relax? Pain? Help me sleep better at night? Welcome my spiritual greatnesss?
The answer is simple and involves some homework on your end.
There is no single best type of meditation. And there’s not that one best-ever meditation course, audio or cd. The single-best meditation teacher or technique doesn’t exist.
Every single person has unique desires, needs and experiences. That being said, it only makes sense to realize that each person will experience the types of meditation in a very different way.
There is no right or wrong meditation, but rather there is the right kind of meditation for you. Begin to meditate using different techniques, audios and guides and pay attention to what resonates the most with you. Is there one type of meditation that brings you to a deep state of mind? Is there a certain meditation cd that helps you relax and be in the present?
Some types of meditation for you to try are:
Healing Meditation: A great meditation to start off with if you have physical ailments
Guided Meditation: I recommend guided meditations for beginners because you have someone guiding you through your meditation experience
Walking Meditation: Not sure if you can sit in one place for an extended period of time? Look into walking meditation to learn more about active meditation and how it still has great benefits.
